Hello

My boss wants to visit Lake Garda by helicopter, EC 120 & AS 350. Are there helipads of hotels or restaurants around where we could fly into, park the aircraft for a couple of hours while we have lunch there and then depart again? Obviously not for free. We will have lunch with 4-6 people and would also pay for the privilege, if necessary.

I know of a couple hotels that have only space for 1 machine and also only let you drop people off, not park the aircraft for some time. Also you're required to spend the night there.

Is it correct that permission of the local office of the Carbinieri and the landowner is required to land off airport in Italy?

Any help is much appreciated:ok:

I think using Helipaddy is your best bet here! Free to register and they built it pretty much exactly for this reason. First one I found -
Helicopter landing at Grand Hotel A Villa Feltrinelli (http://adm.helipaddy.com/pad/view/4560/b297d15ae9ac9630113d3da98a552680/) - picture and map make it look like plenty of space. Few other pads in that area too.

In terms of landing away from airports, Italy is pretty good in that it is only the landowners permission needed but some hotels get a little paranoid and want the Carbinieri contacted in advance, so be prepared to do that but it's never been a problem. They're a little touchy with VFR airspace around airports though, with bigger CTR's than seemingly necessary.

What about here (http://adm.helipaddy.com/pad/view/3525/cc1e51a389976f308f8cddbfa0738db6/) and here (http://adm.helipaddy.com/pad/view/8427/fac0d23a2399a288705a295bf13318c3/)

And this (https://helipaddy.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/8000039296-landing-off-airfield-by-helicopter-in-italy) might be helpful - basically landowners' permission.

I suggest to contact ELITOP (Elitop - Servizi elicotteristici Montichiari Brescia (http://www.elitop.it)), they're based in the area and I suppose they can share information. Take care because local police (Carabinieri) must be informed of the landing, don't skip the law there.

Hello
What you need is a permission of the land owner then send a fax to the ARO competent for the zone and same to the carabinieri competent for the zone,in the fax you write the coordinates, landing time and takeoff time, remarks, model, pax onboard, captain name and contact endurance and flight time, from ecc ecc.Call the major hotel there same of them have a good surface for land.

Dove Siamo (http://www.carabinieri.it/cittadino/informazioni/dove-siamo)
click on "rubrica telefonica" and input the nearest city to find the address for the involved station

if nothing has changed in the last three years, you'll find a form at page 18 of this document, to be sent to the involved ATS and airport
