Hello guys,

I currently hold a French Class 2 Medical, and wish to get my CAA Class 1 medical in the U.K. I am also in a Private Pilot Licence course in France (I don't hold a PPL for the moment).

My questions are :

- Do I need to convert my French Class 2 medical into a CAA Class 2 Medical via the SOLI process before I can get a CAA Class 1 medical ?
- If I convert my French Class 2 medical into a CAA Class 2 medical, can I still get a french PPL ?
- Can I fly with a French PPL and a CAA Class 2 Medical ?

Thanks

1. Yes
2. No but you would be able to get UK issued EASA PPL which you can use in France
3. See 2; Holders of a French issued Licence can get an EASA Medical from any EASA registered AME - including a UK EASA AME.
