Does anyone have experience that they might kindly be able to share about returning to flight operations post Pulmonary Embolism (PE) The information appears to be that a class one medical can be regained after six months but that it will probably have an OML restriction attached to it.

The OML restriction does not allow any single crew commercial flying and does not allow multi crew flying with pilots aged above 60 years, other pilots with a OML restriction and pilots not fully trained on the aircraft type.

The OML restriction is not accepted by many airlines due to these pairing restrictions and of course there is stigma associated with being given a medical certificate below the normal standard.

Has anyone suffered a PE and subsequently gone on to get an unrestricted class one restored.
