It seems that all the issues have been identified....
For 2020 there will be 5800 pilots.....that means a net increase of about 1800 in 4 years.......
Interesting times ahead......

Guys: do I read this letter right?

Does STC plan to roll out virtual reality 3D goggles to do online Training in the hotel room?

Warning letters now delivered by drones to increase productivity?

TC says we currently have 250 A/C and by 2020 we will receive 76 more. Thats 326 A/C and a forecast of 5800 pilots.

A quick look at the seniority list and you will see 4070 pilots.

4070 ÷ 250 = 16.28 pilots per aircraft today.

5800 ÷ 326 = 17.79 pilots per aircraft in 2020.

Yes, the problem has been identified. :D Oh wait... the drones Engineering are using for lightning strike checks mean less down time and more aircraft utilisation. :ouch:

I'll let you guys work out if the message that we are working too hard has reached the top... :ugh:

What they usually fail to mention is that there is 79 aircraft retirement in plans by 2020 as well.

'....where you can train from the comfort of your home or hotel room'.

Er.....I don't think so! I will not be 'training' in my hotel room, I'll be resting thanks. If you want to train us, send us to training college. That's what it's there for!

He has said numurous times fleet 280-300 by 2020 because of DXB limitations and move to DWC no earlier than 2023. Pessimistic about the speed of current construction . Maybe with FlyDubai being forced to DWC makes more room in DXB

So assuming they recruit the numbers required, what is the projected monthly hours your gonna fly?
Or is this a dictate from above after the flydubai fatigue news coverage and concern about anhull loss at ek?

Well, they could develop passenger pods. On inbound lock individual pax in the pod load into the system and pod(pax) shows up at the other gate/hard stand. Just like checked baggage. Have duty free/food ordering tablet in the pod. Food and duty free purchases show up at the gate/hard stand. No need to spend another $30 Billion on new airport.
