Two Short Service Commissioned Officers of The King's Regiment were serving at APIU RAF Oxford in 1950. What does the acronym stand for and, if not self evident, what did it mean, and what is or what was RAF Oxford.
If it helps the Officers were Lt DN (Douglas) Bush and JI (Chris) Fraser-Orr.

I think this unit may have been at RAF Nuneham Park, Oxfordshire. This was a joint unit that received aerial photographs from PR Spitfires based at RAF Benson.

Their was a similar unit at RAF Medmenham, Buckinghamshire. ;)

Medmenham - well worth a visit as it's now a superb hotel. Externally I don't think it has changed much since the R.A.F. days.
