If you were born there and are still a citizen, then yes.
If not, then not any more.

Why not? Everything is possible in Africa...here is an example: An almost national flag carrier in Congo (Africa), based in Brazzaville (Africa), flying from/to cities in Africa (8 out of the 11 destinations) is desperately hiring pilots...ONLY EUROPEAN citizenship with ONLY EASA licence. I am just loving it!

and how many hours?
The latest I've heard is that every country now has 500 hour minimums for work permits in Africa. But I could be wrong, I often am about lots of things.
