Im an experienced fixed wing jet jockey and am looking to get a PPL H to get back to some basic hands on flying for leisure.
It comes as no surprise that the Eurocracy that is EASA will impose hurdles at every stage to gain revenue and give little credits for my existing qualifications......but I am so far getting differing versions of what is required for ground exams.....indeed it has been suggested that I need to sit a navigation paper!!!!
Anyone any recent experience they could share or pointers that might assist please?
any help very much appreciated :ok:

If you hold an ATPL fixed wing, then im pretty sure you'd only need to sit the Aircraft (helicopter) technical paper. ???

Hi. There are 5 as far as I know. PoF, perf, op procedures, AGK and (crazily) navigation.

Page 391 of electronic version of CAP804 (first page of Appendix 1 to PART-FCL).

Easy when you know where to look.

Well I taught last year a CP from Seychelles air with 19k fixed wing time
The exams are Heli Nav, principles of flight, heli general, flight performance and planning
