It gives a civil reg, doesn't say who will operate it.
Maybe TC will use it when Dave doesn't need it? Anyway what would they need with an aircraft configured to be used part time for re-fuelling?

Incoming Irony Alert.

Don't believe everything (anything?) you read in the Internet.

I read some time ago that the future aircraft for whoever is Prime Minister would be allocated to a civilian operator and run with civilian aircrew (as, I believe, are the tanker aircraft - albeit the crew are 'seconded' to the RAF as auxiliary officers).

The Army's tank transporters are owned by a private company and are driven by civilian drivers who become 'TA' when operating for the Army.

Surprised they leave the pods on, do they make much difference to fuel burn?

G-CTPN,

From that post you obviously have not a clue about how the RAF Voyager fleet is operated, flown and maintained by No. 10 and No. 101 Squadrons Royal Air Force.

But anyway, what an exciting and original colour scheme...

But anyway, what an exciting and original colour scheme... Clearly inspired Shy by the anti-flash V-Force colours of the 60s....

Nutty the pods are for the chemtrail seeding ...... :suspect:

Do explain for us uninformed individuals.

Air Tanker (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AirTanker_Services).

Or is it classified (http://www.airtanker.co.uk/our-people/working-at-airtanker/current-vacancies/2015/01/28/first-officers-(civilian)-2015)?

Simple really, the Voyager's are flown exclusively by RAF crews (when on RAF ops), not civvies seconded to the RAF... :)
