I am currently writing a research paper and I am looking for information regarding Lufthansa and Germanwings pilot selection process. Airlines such as Emirates specifically outline their selection programme details. Unfortunately I cant find any details pertaining to Lufthansa or Germanwings pilot selection.
I am specifically interested in whether the pilot selection process includes a psychological screening component other than psychometric and aptitude testing? Can anyone enlighten me on this topic?

I'm not aware of any particular psychological screening by Lufthansa. However psychological screening is a requirement for the initial issue of the Medical Certificate Class 1 (for professional pilots) , by an authorised Centre of Aviation Medicine, regardless of any airline selection program.

I met some Lufthansa express candidates a few years back in Hamburg at DLR. That might be a starting point for your research. Some airlines found they lost valuable pilot talent by following DLR's recommendations. Some Pilots who had been deemed as unsuitable by DLR a Training acaptains today.
