There were some car accidents in Dubai today.

Mods - please don't close this thread down, because as expat brat points out - there are pilots and cabin crew who drive cars therefore it is aviation related, like the Address thread is.

Ermm, that's very observant of you Capn Car Rex. Most important dispatch on this aviation forum.

Let's hope the year doesn't continue this way (post topic) or that the "accidents" by all those very "capable" drivers do not continue to happen as the driving standard is continually improving in this best of the best city.

Zero Percent by 2020 (http://www.khaleejtimes.com/nation/transport/dubai-police-to-achieve-zero-accident-death-toll-by-2020)

Don't worry folks, by 202 the Dubai Police plan to have the accident toll at 0%.

How's that going so far? On track?

:ugh:

You gotta love Dubai, the comedy practically writes itself!

Kind of like all of the scripted people on tv extolling how the evacuation at The Address fire was orderly, professional, etc etc...funny how they all said pretty much the same words. Too bad the actual cellphone videos showed a slightly different story lol.

If you think it's bad there, try a week or two in KWI...

At the vegetables counter there were some potatoes gone bad.. And the salad was at least 5 days old.

MODS - please do not remove this thread since as someone pointed out there are people in the aviation industry eating potatoes and salad.

(And still The Address thread continues)

Have seen more car crashes and building fires in Dubai in 15 years than I would have expected to see in 20 life times! Big problem here, if you have “wasta” you can even drink drive it seems!

0 is only possible if you take habibis most loved toy away - they manage to trash their toy being alone on the road
