So, what are the odds that they'll manage to publish the leave by 16:00 tomorrow?

Pilot_Recruit
14th Dec 2015, 06:14
Probably quite easily because they won't be giving out any leave! ;)

A premonition....

"Congratulations to the leave department, who worked tirelessly when not on public holidays and were able to achieve an average of 30 days leave to those pilots that received leave. The Second round of leave bidding will open shortly to give false hope to the others. For those that celebrate Christmas, please do not let this interfere with your duties." :ok:

Spoon-feeding round 2.

Do not click on the 'Leave History' tab, but on the 'View Your Leave History" hyperlink.

I know it's not under the 'Confirmed Leave' tab... but I haven't been Emiratized yet, so I'll take it as it is. The LASS system data has been uploaded... someone pushed the button at 16:00. That it was the wrong button is another story.

Similar with the 'Priority' message and also bid accordingly - but got 14 days in May/June, which isn't a big deal as the kiddies have grown up, but not too impressed by the fact that my RSV month has been shifted to squeeze those dates in!

At least I got 30 total awarded. Now, where are my other 12? Plus the 12 still hanging around from this year?

So just to be clear, awarded leave is found via the hyper link underneath the reserve dates banner on the right of the page? If so I got all that I asked for: 19 days June and 17 days September. Sounds too good to be true.

Nothing to do with guys posting here! All has to do with the incompetent bureaucrats. They can't be bothered! Why should they? All they have to do is send you a silly I'm so sorry we are late again. How many more occasions do you need to prove the obvious... Failures after failures to deliver. Time to adjust the pink goggles I think. Not only the company blames prune. Now I see lots of brain washed people defending the "if you're not happy..." Model.

Just plain combination of incompetence and arrogance. :D

I'm glad I'm leaving the $hit-hole...

Thankfully I don't have to wait for the kick in the nut$ that is about to occur on the 20th. I'll be gone to greener pastures in a short time so leave is something of the past... T-47 days and counting.

Can't wait. I feel for you all, I really do! Unfortunately, those in power have their heads in the sand. Nothing will change and employees will continue to give, give, give... with very little in return. :ugh:

Hi all,

I'm starting with EK in a week on 777 (apparently).....and have a question about leave.

I hear everyone is flat out, but when the leave bids come in, if I apply/request for all leave that I am entitled to and I don't get it.....does the unused/unallocated leave roll over to the next year (eg: is it banked?).....or does it disappear?

Thanks for you time.

Eternity.

sluggums
22nd Dec 2015, 11:46
Yes, but they'll also try to allocate as much of it as they can during the current leave year and give it to you at the most useless times possible. It's manageable for a year or two, but it gets old really quickly when it happens on a regular basis.
