A- Let's say you have 7 days of forced leave in November.
B- Your Nov roster has 84 hours total.
C- On the 30th of Nov you are operating EK202 leaving JFK at 2250 Local and landing in Dubai on the 1st of December at 19:30 local. (so you are flying about 13 hours on Dec 1st )
D- Your December roster is built at 88 hours with your first flight EK 00 to ABC on the 4th of December. Your last December flight returns to Dubai on the 31st of Dec at 23:50 local.

27- XX
28- XX
29- 5201 DXB (08:30) JFK (15:00) Block ( 14:30 )
30- 202 JFK (22:50) DXB (19:30) Block ( 13:30 )
01-
02- XX
03- XX
04 - 00 DXB (08:30) ABC (13:30) Block ( 7:30 )

How much overtime will you get if you are flying 101 actual hours in December?

31 day month.....overtime paid on anything that's creditable over 88 hours.
30 day month.....overtime paid on anything that's creditable over 85 hours.

Credit for the month applies to duties commencing in that month. So, in your example of the JFK, regardless of the flight being conducted into the next day, it's the month in which the duty commences that counts...all of it. That's why you sometimes see a minus sign after the duty if it lands the following day. ;)

But again for a big 600DHS/hour which is $162/hour ( Which has never been adjusted in more than 10 years+++).

101 - 88 hours is 13 hours of overtime X 600 = 7800 DHS in the company's pocket or $2113.00

And with the shortage of crew, and no vacations, i should expect to be in this situation many times in the coming months...

But i know if i'm not happy i can leave... I know...I know...

Yep but at least the allowances gave kept pace with inflation. LHR in 2000 = £55 and in 2015,......£55
