hi peoples
just thought i would let you know, someone mentioned to me that Qatar Airways are gng to be in Australia first week of July. They are interviewing for cabin crew, i think in Sydney. Been told to keep an eye on the newspapers.
What are your thoughts on this airline?

FYI- its true...they are advertising 29 June in Sydney Morning Herald and the Weekend Australian. There will be a phone number to contact them for interviews.

Thanks for posting on Middle East Forum.
Had not heard Qatar were doing general interviewing in Oz.
Flight attendant union did email out for expressions of interest amongst ex-Ansett for 4-6 month contracts with them, Not much information available except they were looking to base F/A's and CM's in three locations.
Let me know if you hear anything else. And is it in the Sydney paper or the Australian on the 29th? I know you have said Sydney just seems odd not to advertise Australia wide.

apparently they were either gng to advertise in mel or syd they decided syd cause it was a bigger city?? i just heard this from a source....but i think the weekend australian is an australia wide paper.....maybe wrong there..dunno! yes the 3 bases are true...the FAAA said it was either thailand malaysia and qatar

The Australian is Aust-wide and found in most city newsagents. If the ad is going to be in Syd, then it will most likely be in the Syd Morning Herald. I would say to be safe... get your hands on a copy of both papers.

The 'Oz' (Australian Newspaper) has an aviation suppliment every Friday, and as already pointed out, is an Australia-wide publication.
Crown, as in the Casino Consortium/Complex were advertising in there last week for a Flight attendant position for their corporate jet. No exp required either, part-time, I believe.
