Should be able to get every RAF Pilot into one shot.

39 Squadron?

After all, it must be a lot harder to fly when you are not actually there!

"Should be able to get every RAF Pilot into one shot"
Question is, which calibre to use....:E

Could they not have thought of a better title?
It sounds like it should be on one of those ghastly satellite channels or even worse ITV.

Unfortunately this looks as though it is going to be yet another Red Arrows fly on the wall documentary rather than looking at front line aircrew. Pity

Is this just another Red's fest vid?

Edit: Ah yes, so it is. How original.

"It's not all about the pilots" has to be up there with "We're all in this together" in the pantheon of media speak.;)

you are right about the Reds; for most of UK it's 2100 bbc 2 Sun 11th

Ultimate pilots?

Since serving our time then leaving, some of us must be Britain's "extra-ultimate" pilots: Outside the RAF.

The way things are going it will be "Britain's Penultimate Pilots"!

BBF one might be worth a look. I wonder if this is the new way of engaging Joe Public now that open days are a thing of the past?

Although a nice idea I'm wondering, what about the 'ultimate pilots' of the Fleet Air Arm and Army Air Corps?

lmgaylard, I can only guess that the clue to the answer to that is in the programme's title.

I don't think it's a contest.

Okay I'll take my sarcastic hat off as it looks as though they will cover more than the Reds playing Golf and the inevitable tension as they see if they get Display Authority.

Okay, maybe I just slipped the hat back a bit. :)

But it does read as though they are giving other display types and ground crew a look in as well so I'll be checking it out.

And yes, even if it was just the Red Arrows I would still have watched the bloody thing.

No chance - it clashes with Downton Abbey!

‘Britain’s Ultimate Pilots: Inside the RAF’ [21:00, BBC Two] showcases the work of the Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the Chinook Display Team and the Typhoon Display Team during the 2015 display season.

As I feared .... so Display Flying (and I have done a little of that) is what "Ultimate Pilots" do.....

I don't think so...... not the best curtain raiser to SDSR 15 :ugh:

I'll stick with Deadliest Catch on Discovery. Proper 'Ard Nuts'.

"The way things are going it will be "Britain's Penultimate Pilots"!

As Wilde said to Whistler "I wish I'd said that."

As Wilde said to Whistler "I wish I'd said that." To which Whistler famously replied:

"You will Oscar, you will!" :ok:

Watched the Chinook episode last night. Noticed that the instruments and glass screens were 'blurred out'.... What's that all about then?

Are the Beeb scared we might find out where Odiham is? Or what speed a Chinook flies at? Don't want to invade the privacy of a Chinook?

Watched the Chinook episode last night. Noticed that the instruments and glass screens were 'blurred out'.... What's that all about then? It's often a lot easier to just pixelate the screens than to carefully review every second of video to make sure something classified/sensitive is not inadvertently broadcast
