A Fatal crash during apparent filming of a TV doc "a birds eye view" in Wanzhou district China.
All four on board were killed when the bell 407GX crashed at around 1pm.
It is pictured flying on 12th Sept with windows off and a stabilised mount on the nose.

Here is a link to the 2014 edition "A Bird's Eye View of the New Chongqing"
It contains the most extraordinary aerial filming in built up areas I've ever seen.
Much of the flying involves crabbing as the camera is not nose mounted.

How sad that their project with such unencumbered flying is only drawn to our attention following their demise. Bitter sweet.

There was a thread in PPRune a couple of years ago where this clip was discussed. It's a shame; pilots like that are few and far between in China.

I understand they update it each year, to show the continuing growth of what is probably the largest city in the world.(33million)

They were apparently undertaking shooting the 2015 version.

There is no evidence to suggest that the flying style of zero margin for error or failure contributed to their demise, in fact it is unusual for pilot error to be cause when using stabilised mounts.
