Last year my blood sugar was too high on my Class 1 medical and I had to do a GTT. This year not wanting to repeat the test I tried hard before the blood test to get it right. No sugar in my coffee, no chocolate, no alcohol for three days before the test. I also ramped up the exercise as well. All to no avail as I came back 5.8. Off for my GTT. My Dame has advised that my GTT was not acceptable and that he is waiting for CASA to come back with their requirements. I am 60+, fit, BMI 25 and exercise regularly.
Does anyone have any idea what is likely to come next?

It sounds like your DAME is not an expert in the field of interpreting GTT results, and is merely seeking a further opinion.

I wonder if a HBA1c may clarify things.....? https://www.diabetes.org.uk/About_us/What-we-say/Diagnosis-ongoing-management-monitoring/New_diagnostic_criteria_for_diabetes/

What were your GTT levels. CASA use the levels from Diabetes Australia as a guide. I think if your GTT levels are around 11 then thats an indication of diabetes. Best check the DA website.

Type 2 Diabetes Can be Cured, Fixed and Reversed (http://www.cureddiabetes.com/conclusions.html)

I was/am in the same boat as you. Have a look at this website..I am following this website to the letter and have achieved the same results.

Key words....exercise, hard exercise.......harder than you have ever worked in your life............makes it go away.

PM me if you want to chat or need some motivation. It works.
