Over the years I've noticed that Qatar A330 aircraft have two red beacons/anti collision lights on the top of the fuselage. I've never noticed any other airlines or aircraft types with two beacons on top before.

Is there any particular reason for this?

The A380 has two on top at the same station (but both off the centreline). This is due to the diameter/shape of the fuselage. A single light on the centreline would be difficult to see from the ground at close quarters.
