Good morning everyone, I would be really happy if somebody of you experienced pilots could help me in this topic:

I must complete a base training (737NG) in order to get my type rating printed on my license (UK). I contacted various companies as Jet Time in Denmark but they answered me that due to summer season they cannot provide my a base training at the moment.

Somebody of you guys can suggest me a facility where to obtain this base training?

I also contacted Baltic Aviation Academy and they proposed me a base training for 7.000€...

Then I would like to know another information..

I finished my TR on 22-04-2015 and my TRTO told me to complete this base training within 6 months..

Now Baltic Aviation Academy told me that I should have completed it within 60 days. Otherwise before the BT,I should have a full flight simulator session.

Somebody of you know about it?

I would like also to have some alternatives to Baltic, otherwise I must go there and do it with them.

Thank you for your answers.

Cheers

I think the answer is with your ATO... The purpose of this Information Notice (IN) is to advise that the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) now interprets Part-FCL to mean that the take-offs and landings in the aeroplane that must be completed before a Type Rating is issued, must be carried out under the control of an Approved Training Organisation (ATO). The completion of the take-offs and landings is commonly referred to as ‘base training’. 1

Jaz, you should revert to your ATO about this as you have a time limit after your sim skill test for the type rating to be endorsed. You should complete everything within 6 months, but I doubt anyone will let you base train if its more than 21 days since your last sim and a brush up will be required. Your ATO has to take responsibility for this ,,, unless you told them you would arrange everything, in which case it's in your court.

Thank you Avenger. Do you know what happens if I don't do this base training within 6 months? I'm pretty aware that I need to brush up my skills with a full flight simulator session for sure..but I contacted a lot of companies for this base training, and I think I'll get it after 6 months since my type rating skill test date..

What if I don't get this base training within 6 months??

Thanks for your answer

Cheers

You would need to re do the type course .

I just got a second type rating stamped on my UK EASA licence, two days short of the 6 months from LST completion requirement, having done the circuits a few days before. The CAA said they would not extend the 6 month time scale for any reason. I'm led to believe it used to be a case of just a LST and ground exams again before doing the circuits, but a colleague had to do the whole course again!!
