PM makes appeal to Aston Martin to open plant in Wales - BBC News (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-mid-wales-33638634)

Aside from 'that' wedding car, and access to decent shipping routes, there's already a connection which won't have done the proposal any harm.

Need to empty the St Athan hangars first, currently used as a depot!

No problem from this callsign, so long as nobody calls it St Athans ... :mad:

When politicians 'persuade' industrialists to build car factories in the wrong place for political reasons, I get reminded of the Roote's group being persuaded to build Hillman Imps outside of Glasgow.

That's a very long way from Aston Clinton, near RAF Halton, where Lionel Martin started racing his 'Aston Martin'.

Do you think they will rebrand as the 'Athan Martin'? :}
