Hello folks,

A simple question - I've just got back to the UK and I hold an Australian Class one (currently valid), I want to get a CAA class one. Does anyone know if this would be viewed as a initial, or renewal? I'd like to avoid the long trip to Gatwick if possible (lovely as it is).

Thanks!

Assuming you have not previously held an EASA (or JAR) class 1 it would be an initial. However, Gatwick is no longer the only place in the UK where you can do an initial EASA class 1.
