Flying in the Russian Federation: Hi gents,
anyone know what the requirement is to fly in the russian Federation? Can you fly with a Validation or will you have to convert to the state license? Do you require EASA license to play?

If its an EASA aircraft (of which there are many based in Moscow) then you just turn up and fly, if its a Russian Aircraft then you need to obtain a Russian licence of sorts. I don't know the exact details, but I believe that could be quite complex.

If Your licence is ICAO licence You will have to pass Russian medical(where even surgeon will try to find cholesterol :=),after this You will have to get validation.Process is pretty straight forward if You are accompanied with representative from company.Without representative this process is inrealizable.
