Good afternoon,
In the first week of July i will have to go to Gatwick to finish my ATPL exams, i never did it there so i need some help or information about accommodation and transport from one place to another. I have searched where its the place exactly but i found that its two places of the CAA, one north and the other south of the airport, i found that the one where the exams are taken its the south one called Aviation House, but there is not any close hotel and the closest one its about 20 min walking in a road which i consider dangerous and to take a bus you have to walk as well by the road, i couldnt find nothing else so i asked myself if someone went to do the exams there and he had the same problem just share some information with me about how you did it, where you stayed, how you moved and some prices information. I appreatiate so much any kind of information that would help me. Thank you and sorry for my bad english.

I am sitting for exams there in February and I will be staying at the premier Inn hotel and taking a cab to Aviation House. less than 5 minutes in a cab

It's Gatwick Airport South - loads of parking, but basically nothing else but traffic, parking and the airport around it. Staying a short distance away and using a taxi is the only sensible approach if you are flying in to Gatwick.

Any hotel around there will just get you a taxi on request - not cheap, but safe and reliable.

The Travelodge is within walking distance.

Same as what has already been said.

Travel lodge, Gatwick Manor, London Road South is a 5-10 minute walk.
Rooms have a decent size desk for revising and there is a food selling pub next door and a Tesco express 2 minutes down the road.

I have stayed once in the Ibis hotel its a good hotel.
Its like 10 mins by cab.
As our friend says earlier travelodge is nearer walk is too much tbh. Around 20 mins till you get exactly to the caa house.
Id prefer if you stay on ibis their is close shops near by also.
Good luck and wish you the best on your exams!

I stayed at the Premier Inn (Manor Royal). It is about a 20 minute walk from the Belgrano, which I found quite relaxing after a day of exams. It is also on the main bus route that stops just outside Aviation House.
