Condolences to friends and family.
Who sent these people up there in a 412?:ugh:

EC

You are clueless. It was not a 412, but a H-1Y with two T-700's and 4 wide chord blades. Performance at this altitude will not be a factor in this accident. And even if it were a 412 they routinely operate in mountains at these heights.

Thank you gentlemen for putting me straight on the UH1Y with regards to performance
Apologies for any offence caused
Does anyone there have the numbers for what this machine will do at 11000 ft
The 412 graphs for that altitude aren't exactly wonderful

Some info but no alt. performance figures.
2 700s should give good performance.

I am sure someone will be along with some truth.

A tragic end for good folks on a mission of mercy.
