Hello everyone,
I'm ICAO PPL holder and going to start EASA fATPL track. I'm considering Czech Republic for sitting exams and flight training.
The problem is that it looks like there is no courses in Czech Republic suitable for me.
I need a distant course with a 1,2 or 3 classroom sessions. What I was offered is 7 or more weekly or weekend sessions. I live outside the EU and it's impossible for me to travel so often. UK ground schools are great, but they are out of the question due to visa conserns and high cost of travelling there.
Could anyone please recommend suitable theory provider?

Hi there,

take a look at the following links, perhaps there's a DL course/provider that will suite your situation.

Baltic Aviation Academy
Aviation training programs - Pilot license, PPL, ATP, CPL, MEP (http://www.balticaa.com/become-a-pilot/training-programs/)

Bartolini Air in Poland (10 day ground school in Lodz)
Bristol Groundschool ATPL - Fly in Poland - Fly in Poland (http://www.flyinpoland.com/courses/atpl-theory/)

Fly Level in Romania
Fly Level (http://flylevel.aero/pilot-licence-en/)

Smartaero in Poland
Smartaero - FLIGHT ACADEMY (http://smartaero.pl/en/2015-04-10-09-39-30/flight-academy.html)

Good luck!

Since I am interested in the same topic I take advantage of this thread to make a question: please pardon my ignorance, but I would like to know if passing my atpl theory in a Country compels me to complete the flight training in the same place.
I.e.: can I do for example ATPL theory in UK and later flight training in Poland (consider I already have a PPL)?

Yes you can, you can complete each modular element in a different state if you wish, but you can not, for instance, sit half your exams in France and half in the UK. The state that holds your medical certificate will issue your licence. There is nothing to stop you doing your ATPL theory in the UK and your CPL/IR course in Poland. It is not uncommon, in fact.

@Alex Whittingham

Hello Alex,

one more question regarding the topic, please - if I attend my ATPL in UK and my medical is hold in the Czech Republic, can I sit the exams (not half as you wrote, but all) in UK (and then come back to CZ and continue with IR there) or this is not possible and I have to sit the exams in the Czech Republic anyway...?

Thank you very much for reply.

Theoretically yes, I think some of our students have done that, but you would be wise to check it with the Czech CAA.
