For years I've understood an episode I suffered was anaphylaxis. Four GPs seemed to concur, but a while back I went to Addenbrooks and a young specialist told me it couldn't possibly have been that as it doesn't get better by itself.
I find this hard to believe - just think of the child recently on a BA? flight where another parent had opened some peanuts, despite being asked not to. Four rows ahead the child become very ill. That child survived. How, if the above is true?
