Hello guys,
I regularly read all the threads on PPRuNe but its my first time posting.I have an FAA PPL with IR and EASA frozen ATPL.I am planning on doing an instructor rating.Should I go the FAA way or the EASA way?I am from a country in asia where GA doesnt exist and neither do flight schools.I couldn't do it before since I ran out of funds.Which schools hire fresh instructors in europe, asia, africa? If a school offers me a job upon completion of the rating with them then I'm willing to consider it.
Cheers!

Hi there and welcome aboard!

Well, in general, it doesn't look good. In the past I would have said, go to a big international flight school in the US, get your CPL and CFI (certified flight instructor) and work for them as a CFI afterwards. There was a special visa program for international students which allowed them to work for the school for a limited period of time (J1 visa / 24 month) but I just figured out that this visa (program) doesn't exist anymore and I'm not familiar with the current visa regulations/program. I attached a link below, from a US flight school (in the past this school offered the old J1 visa program) now it's offering the F1 visa program, promising the possibility of employment.

Regrading Europe, in Europe many instructors are airline pilots who work on a part time bases for a flight school. There are only a few big schools who are in need of full time instructors based on their student load and usually they prefer hiring locals or former airline/commercial pilots. As a Non-EU citizen, without a work/residence permit, your chances of finding employment in the EU are pretty much zero.

I don't know about the situation in Africa and/or Asia, perhaps there are some folks on here who can provide some information.

Good luck!

Also bear in mind even if you do get a visa it can be quite a struggle to survive on instructors pay alone in the UK and Europe.

Also most places pay flight pay only, so when the weather is bad and you can't fly no pay.

What is the average hourly pay in UK for FI?Do you know of any schools in asia hiring fresh FI's?Most of the schools want 200hrs dual given.I just want to be sure before I make this investment? What do you think? Is it a good way to start and get your foot in the door or should I wait for that shiny jet job?

The main question - do you have a European work permit? Or green card to US?
Or do you have VERY GOOD contacts, that will fix you a visa?

No flight school in Europe or US will bother obtaining you visa, as there are more then enough instructors domestically. With experience, whom they can just hire. No need to do all the paperwork and take responsibility.
