Aren't there enough Nigerian princes wanting to shift cash, money tied up in Nigerian bank accounts, diamonds, funds, etc that could easily assist all such types through everything if only they had access to an email account and a credit card? ;-)

Good news!

My uncle was the crown prince of a small European Fiefdom before he was cruelly deposed from office by an ungrateful populace. Despite this, he had carefully invested Twelve Million Dollars in The United Bank of West Africa, that he stated should go to anybody looking for an airline sponsorship. Unfortunately he met with an untimely demise after falling off the balcony of his villa overlooking the shores of lake Lucerne. As these funds are locked in escrow I am now charged with ensuring that worthy recipients are sponsored with these funds, so that the world never again finds itself short of airline pilots.

I would be delighted to help you out, and simply require your bank name, account and sort code, together with an administrative payment of $5000 so that the transfer can be facilitated without any further delay.

Guys, I think this isn't a troll :}

I remember back when I went to flight school in the good ol' US of A, the colonies as some of you might know it.

Their Facebook is constantly hammered with people from nigeria that "prey g0d b willing$$ will b captain tomorrow"

A lot of classic correspondence on the schools dispatch system bulletin board, I  you not.

Edit: Not to crap on anybody's dreams of course, my apologies if offense is taken. It's just that some of this is pure comedy gold.

Best of luck to you future Captain!

I'm sorry buddy but you're out of luck, people born in the UK and Europe are struggling to make it, let alone someone in Nigeria with visa issues !

franklinslimmz - probably best to try in your own country or near by

go and hang around to the airports in your country, speak to some pilots, network

probably difficult to get work permit in Europe??

As junior jetset says..
Hang around airports - sweeping hangars or whatever. That's how my brother started off.

You'll need indefinite leave to remain and work in the UK.

You'll also need a far better grasp of English, I don't intend to be rude but there are pretty strict English requirements.

If you are serious then ring an FTO. If you meet the standards you will be given some options. In regards to getting sponsorship unless you own property or something worth the 60-100k required to pay for the training then you're out of luck i'm afraid.

Your only option would be an African Airline.

Do you want to portray the image of another 1 in a million hopeful or a good candidate. Get a good ink pen and good expensive paper. Write a hand written letter and send it recorded.

Copy the letter in to Microsoft Word or similar and attach it to an email if you need to follow it up.
