Living in S. Cali and looking for info on EASA ground school in S. California.
DL plus brush up and exam needed.
UKFT say they do this San Diego and say it's at Oxnard. This field is well North of L.A. So I'm confused.
Already know about SAA

Any suggestions please.

The only EASA facility/FTO I know in Southern California is SAA.

American Aviation Academy in San Diego is an EASA approved ATO but last I checked they were only private pilot.

they have a bad reputation!

As can be seen from various posts over the years, they have both satisfied customers and detractors.
Just like many other schools.

I happen to know Gillespie Field (where this school is located) very well, and all the schools around. I've been working at one of the schools as a CFI (Instructor) myself, even received a job offer from above mentioned school, I turned it down after visiting the school personally. But I don't want to kick-off a school debate here, I recommend go and read the posts about this school and get your own picture.

Generally speaking, I would avoid most (not all) EASA outfits located in the USA. Lufthansa and CAE excepted.
