Used to instruct on UK BCPL which required Class 1. Now have EASA PPL on which paid instruction allowed but can't find anything which states if Class 1 medical must be maintained, or if Class 2 sufficient. Word of mouth advice is Class 2 OK but is this covered specifically anywhere?

You only need a PPL, therefore you only need a Class 2. Not sure it needs to be covered any more specifically.
