Hi All

A question regarding this sid:
http://www.airservicesaustralia.com/aip/current/dap/BCGDP02-135.pdf

The specified climb gradient is 3.6% to 700ft, thence 3.3%.

Following that text, is the note "(6.3% to 2000ft)". To me this appears to be contradictory to the first statement. Can someone please explain to me what it means? What minimum PDG do I need to achieve here? 3.6% or 6.3%? If it's 6.3% why isn't that specified for the first climb segment?

Climb segments do not normally consider airspace, only terrain.
So, all engines and needing to remain in CTA, the higher gradient. OEI, the lesser. Your pan call should exempt you from obtaining any clearance to leave and re enter controlled airspace, and even if it doesn't......stiff.
If your twin will achieve better than 3% on one, it will comfortably exceed 6% on two, as you would see by applying the simple rate of climb over ground speed formula on takeoff.
