That's not the qld gov plane. That's a corporate air Saab.

travelator is spot on, it's Corporate Air's Saab. Both parties have been using them and Jetgo's Embraer.

So let me get this right, many years ago QLD had an extensive air wing, now to they contract profit making biz to replace it ? Or have I missed something ?

Ejector, they still have the air wing. However the air wing aircraft are to small to fly the leaders their support team and the media around, hence the use of the Saab and the Embraer.

Seem's only fair during an election, make the seperate parties pay for their own aircraft charter.

The old Convair got a run election before last, it had grog on board whilst the Gov Hawker and King Air were dry. This proved a big hit with the media and coupled with no weight / seat restrictions the use of larger aircraft has been used by all since
