Hi fellows,

I just need some info about the requirements that must be met before applying for a MES rating in EASA land.

Also if somebody knows some places in Europe where this kind of training can be done please also let me know !

Thank you very much ! :D

Indeed, that'd quite be interesting! Is it possible at all to get a (private) seaplane rating in EASA land, I don't think so?

Nothing is impossible transsonic2000 !:)

Seaplanes is not a subject which is not so often discussed nowadays and only a few amount of pilots seem to be interested in.

Indeed, you can do your PPL SEAplane rating in some places in Europe like Italy at como base, in Scotland, Ireland, Poland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Holland and in a few other countries.

On-track Aviation in UK has some useful information on their website about Seaplane training.

I didn't mean a PPL seaplane rating, rather for private/personal use.

But interesting to know that there are places (here in EASA land) where one can obtain a seaplane rating (for personal use), since I believe I have heard somewhere that is not possible in every EASA country (e.g. Switzerland) but I might be mistaken.
