With the recent rise in the franc between 20 and 30% is this likely to affect the RFDS parts and purchasing price of aircraft?

Or will Pilatus take the hit and keeps prices the same for the customers.

Pilatus are an exporter after all and a high Franc is going to hurt aircraft sales...

I'm going to take a punt and say that everything is probably purchased in US$$'s anyway.

Possibly any firm orders were at the price at the time of ordering. Any options will be at the going rate at the date of confirming. Just a suggestion.

I would have thought that Pilatus would be kind to the RFDS given their joint history and the desire by Pilatus to see the launch customer for the PC24 treated well.

There's as much currency risk in the AUD as there is in CHF, so while its a slight disadvantage to deal with the Swiss, pretty soon everything imported is going to become very expensive.

Here's (http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/bigideas/building-resilience-in-an-era-of-limits-to-growth/5649352) some interesting listening for you all on this subject...
