Reading the vague story, it would appear that 35 troops were killed trying to reach the crashed aircraft before rebels of the Al-Nusra front got there.
It would appear that the crew of the aircraft were killed in the accident.

Being reported as an IL-76 CANDID. If so, that will hurt the Regime as they only have 4 or 5 of them and they are heavily used to support some of their shall we say more remote out posts.

Hardly surprising to see ANF claiming it as a kill, especially after they destroyed a MiG-23 on the ground with an anti tank missile about a week ago at nearby Aleppo, but equally as Press TV is an Iranian outfit, it's hardly surprising to read them call it as an accident.

Interestingly, Press TV seems very definite about the cause so soon after the incident, but the photo they use is an old one from a different crash last year in Raqqa. I guess getting to the bottom of exactly what happened will take time.

An-26 apparently

This is a link to a video of the crash scene. It is graphic so DO NOT click on it if you are squeamish.
