Well judging by the latest army TV advert for I initially thought it was for the RAF as it had more Chinooks in it than soldiers, and I still haven't figured where the Herc dropping stuff relates to truck drivers....

IIRC, not the first time. Back in about 2001 a RAF Regt Sqn Ldr was used in the main picture depicting an Army programme.

That's the real story, members/ex of the armed forces should not need calendar derived funding in order to get the care they need. Same with help for heroes, the government make me sick.

Pious, military charities ars as old as the hills.

The RAF has two. There are many others. A lot of funds come from within the 'family'.

That the Services provide an opportunity for the public to give direct support should not be denied.

The Government pot is limited and what support it can afford has to be tightly controlled.

To give an example, one charity provided a computer suite to enable a disabled Service man to set up a business; the tax payer wouldn't do that.

...and that comment displays that usual level of understanding that many members of the RAF have of the All-Arms/Joint environment. The Chinook was in the ad for 4s.

Maybe I should have tried harder at school? A first degree and master's obviously weren't enough.
