On childcare projects. It might raise a Tornado engineering eyebrow or two.

In defence of the expenditure, the LIBOR fund is to be spent on non-public amenities. But, yes, timing is everything, isn't it?

Yup, it was the unavoidable timing of the announcement that I found unlucky/incredibly unfortunate, different pots etc. £3,000,000 is going to get one hell of a facility - I thought this particular project would be prime material for some form of joint venture/commercial partnership.. from private schools who benefit from military families, looking to push their brand or to keep class war lefties off their backs. It would also keep the cost down, the LIBOR fund is a de facto taxation resource but won't last for ever. It probably shows some indicator of Aki's future though; that, or the place will close a few months after the facility opens (but should make the place a better married posting in the meantime though).

Aah AKI...the base with a most impressive array of facilities and opportunities...

...yet the level of Coronation Street and Eastenders knowledge within the Island community is unparalleled.

...And why is AKI more important than all of the other bases of all colours in the UK that house children that also move around a lot?

...Pass the cheese sandwiches will you?

:ugh:
