All Blacks captain Richie McCaw is known for being a fairly grounded Kiwi, but after 100 tests at the helm, he got carried away in a Typhoon fighter jet.
With "Squadron Leader R McCaw RNZAF" emblazoned on the side of the jet, the veteran flanker took off from Coningsby RAF base in Lincolnshire, near the east coast of England, for a ride in one of the world's top fighter planes.
Nice gesture - and before anyone baulks, he was made an honorary Sqn Ldr by the RNZAF. :ok:
