Know for a fact he received a message from the girl stating that she has sought legal advice regarding sharing of a private video without her consent. Crew offered to send me the video. I can assure you, my email and mobile number have nothing to do with any link to that video. Suggest you all consider same.

Don't create myths around "almighty" EK and their ability to monitor your e-mails and mobile numbers. Sure they can do that, but they have 60.000 employees and they have to notice YOU and monitor YOU. Why would they do that?

Nikita, You've got me wrong. I'm not suggesting for a moment that EK is monitoring our emails/mobiles. I'm stating something I know- forwarded emails and text messages/Whatsapp etc. leave a trail. That trail is easily followed. My personal details will not be part of that trail. If lawyers start getting involved and EK thinks their name was besmirched, who knows what could happen? That's all I'm saying.

I think you can't control what somebody sends you via e-mail or text message, but if you forward it, yes - some consequences can be involved. But it's already viral...

I am feeling sorry for this girl and please let me know what happened with the guy who filmed it. I didn't see the video and I don't know its content in details, but it's still unfair that only one person has been punished in this matter and, by "coincidence" it's a woman (of course).

What I do find sad is that has cost a young lady from a relatively poor Eastern European (starts with M I heard?) country her job. She was probably earning a salary that her family would be proud of and her friends in her homeland would be envious of. It's all over now and if this was videoed and/or circulated without her consent, then Mr Brazil should be hung drawn and quartered.

Well, if that is the case, Emma, another blog article about women molestation is getting ready to be published soon. I have a story of another young lady who was molested by the airport police because she spoke with one of them in a wrong (?) way. RH also stayed at his position, while his assistant was fired. I was threatened with prison and my ambassador told me to go home, because "women prisons in UAE are terrible", as he said. EK staff in service delivery and EKAS are mostly women. So, it's another scandal approaching.

Emma, apart from the video, taking a bottle of champagne from the aircraft is a sacking offence. The video should never have appeared on the Internet (or anywhere else) without the 'star's' consent but there is nothing unfortunate about it. You can't accidentally do that with a bottle of stolen champagne and from the video I'm pretty sure she knew she was being filmed.

Emma Royds, while I praise your genuine concern for a fellow staff / colleague, I have to disagree with you. It takes to two to tango, and nobody held a gun to this girl's head forcing her to steal a bottle, use it her nether-regions "whilst" being videotaped. She knew what was up.

I do agree that it's a shame that the individual that did the filming wasn't canned just as fast. Flew with a close friend of the individual a day ago, saying that Mr. Brazil took it upon himself to send/distribute the video on a WhatsApp group chat. As stated by previous posters, the guy is still with the company. Many of his close friends have advised him to consider walking off into the sunset and never returning to Dubai.

Thank God no such 'camera' was around when I was flying otherwise there wouldn't be any crew left. However I knew a Purser who would hold dinner parties with joints of beef left over from First with the odd bottle of Charles Heidsieck floating around.

The issue I have is whilst she knew she probably was being videotaped, did she know that it would be circulated to the wider world? I can't see many of our female colleagues in the cabin willing to risk the embarrassment and humiliation plus potential dismissal, should such a video be circulated. It makes me believe that this video has been shared without her consent and especially so when you consider what is at stake for her personally.

Many 'interesting' things go on down route and some will be recorded on smart phones too but the evidence of the vast majority of such antics will, remain a secret to the individuals involved. If she was expecting the same confidentiality, then it is unfortunate that trust has been broken and very unfortunate that she to date has come off worse so far. They are both worthy of the same disciplinary measures.

A dismissible offence has taken place in relation to the bottle of VC being removed from the aircraft. Whilst I don't know who has taken the bottle of the aircraft, the difference between consumption of a stolen item and actually stealing the item is a fine line in my eyes. Both offences are as bad as each other and if the bottle of VC was of so much concern to EK, we would have seen both crew dismissed already, which is not the case.

If you do, it's almost guaranteed at some point that pics/video will show up, somewhere. Ok she may have been off her t!ts but maybe more people today should try having some restraint to not let themselves get so f!&%d they don't even know which way is up. How many cases have we heard of people in relationships sending out similar videos after a nasty breakup? So pretty high chance the guy/girl you hook up with on a trip doesn't give two craps about sending your performance viral.... better safe than sorry save your show for your own room and not for Instagram..

What most of you are missing is what was said by both participants of the video in question.

The visual was accompanied by some language that got them in deep trouble. What they said was a dismissible offence, never mind the what they filmed...

In my opinion, anyone who views that video, or anyone who wants to view the video for whatever reason, is as bad as the moron who made it public in the first place.

However idiotic the girl was who put herself in a very awkward position (no pun intended), the way that many are responding to this video, wanting to view, share etc, is very degrading, dehumanising and is far worse than the act in question itself.

There are no LINK, this video is being circulated via messenger apps such as Whatsapp, BBM, etc. AFAIK there's no online source of it. The best chance of getting it is to ask your crews for it next time you at work :ok:

There are many children that are filmed doing "stuff" and they know they are being filmed. If and when that content becomes available to the public, does it make it right to view and further dehumanise the individual because they knew they were being filmed??? Of course it doesn't.

I honestly do not believe that this girl would have done this if she knew that the drongo intended to publicise the content.
