Ah, so that's where the MAPL ended up:

That mock-up looks great though. I wonder if it will be able to do everything that they claim it will...

Looks like someone photoshopped a Bell nose, Agusta tail and EC tail rotor.

Quite good, actually!

However, given the history of the Xian MA60 turbo-prop, one doesn't have the greatest confidence in the Chinese aircraft design and certification process.

Seems to me that working on that CG will be a bit of a challenge, maybe I'm wrong...

Plenty of smoke so the mirrors can't be far away. But at least the mock up appears to show an original design this time. I wonder what engines they plan to use.

Not ignorant at all FED.

Chinese designed and built vehicles are poorly constructed, have had numerous recalls (where I live), are unreliable, depreciate like a brick have very poor safety ratings and have gaskets made of asbestos. My information is first hand, not from Wikipedia.

Around here buying a chinese car is like marrying a fat and ugly woman and hoping one would come by and take her from you. :p

Quote from your wikipedia page:

Exports[edit]
As of 2012 exports of Chinese automobiles were about 1 million vehicles per year and rapidly increasing. Most sales were made to emerging economies such as Algeria, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, or Syria[4] where a Chinese-made automobile such as a Geely, Great Wall, or Chery sells for about half of what a comparable model manufactured by a multinational brand such as Toyota does. The Chinese cars are based on multinational designs but cheaply made; they are particularly lacking in safety features. Cars made in China by multinational joint ventures are generally not exported. The quality of Chinese cars is rapidly increasing but, according to J. D. Power and Associates, is not expected to reach parity with multinational manufacturers until about 2018.[27]

So they can only sell them to 3rd world countries, they are cheaply made, lacking in safety features and the quality is no where near international standards. Sounds just like the sort of people that i want building my helicopters....

I'll stick to American thanks, at least they know what you mean when you say "im gonna sue you if you don't sort this out!"

FED,

What was the purpose of posting the wikipedia link? To show that terminus mos had a fair point? :}
