On this R4 Friday too on Desert Island Discs. I think they should just clear the rest of the day's schedule, and let him go on as long as he likes!

Desert Island Discs does a podcast of their programmes shortly after transmission, so if you cannot listen to the programme live on Radio 4, have a look here (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04nvgq1) sometime thereafter. :ok:

NorthernKestrel - Thank you for the link. Talk about living history! I have only listened to the first 15 minutes because the hour is late but I look forward to hearing the rest in the morning, as well as Desert Island Discs of course.

Mr B,

Thanks for the link. Just listened to it which complemented my having just finished reading his book "Wings on my Sleeve". What a character!
