A question for our Australian friends.

I'm trying, rather unsuccessfully, to find somewhere that will be able to rent me a DA40 and an instructor in or around Sydney or Melbourne for a quick bit of flying later on this month as I'll be in Australia for a couple of weeks.

The only promising option I've found is the University of NSW's flying school - but they didn't get back to me after a couple of queries.

The DA40 bit is kind-of important for me as, if possible, I want to do a BFR as well, and most of my hours in the last couple of years have been on the DA40.

Any leads gratefully received.

Paul.

I have had a look at the aircraft register and there are seven in Australia. Four with a flying school in Queensland. None in Sydney orMelbourne.

The register is available at casa.gov.au

Schofields in Bankstown (Sydney) has one, albeit only the Lycoming version:

Welcome to SFC (http://www.sfcaero.com.au/)

Excellent, I've dropped a note to Schofields.

Thanks for the help.
