Some years back i read about an Australian AG instructor that was training Chinese pilots in an Ag Truck that was killed when he had an 'accident' when he strayed from the training area.
Can anyone remember this incident or point me in the direction of the story.
Just need to see if i remember it correctly.
Cheers

So many ag aircraft have similar names and so many get them mixed up!

Much more likely to be an Airtruk, probably the later Skyfarmer development.

Barry Foster at Leongatha will be able to give you the straight 'gen'.

Correct, my mistake. Should have gotten it right as i saw them fly every day over Seven Hills.
This incident happened about 30 years ago and the whole story did not come out until pilots wife passed away. Damned if i can remember what site i read it on.

Baz has many amusing stories regarding the China trips he did.

One of my favourites was when he trained 12 ex PLAAF Mig pilots to fly the 12 Airtruks.

Baz said "Y'know, they did prove you can take off in coarse pitch in an Airtruk".

Haha I said "so one of them actually did that?"

"No" he said

"They ALL did"

( puts head in hands)
