I was doing the normal scroll through latestpilotjobs this morn & came across this Gem;

Job Description
We are looking for FO with 1000 hours total time and type rated on ATR for 500 hours line training with a company based in North Africa.
30000 Euros.
Only pilots with the above requirements will be considered.


It's just unbelievable, that you now need to "qualify" to be considered to pay 30 grand to these clowns! And it's not even a good type to get ahead on....

Honestly the industry needs to unite to stop this BS, it's in everyone's best interest...

Any pilot who has been in this industry long enough to acquire 1000 hours (say two years?) who is stupid enough to fall for such an obvious scam DESERVES to be ripped off!
You have to hand it to them that they actually purport to screen candidates to determine whether they 'qualify' for the privilege of being robbed! Honour among thieves perhaps?
They only have to find one such idiot to be 30000 Euros ahead. The idiot they do find may learn a useful lesson in life to compensate for the fact that he will learn nothing about flying an ATR and won't advance his career prospects one iota.
Are these 'clowns' as you describe them really doing any of the rest of us any harm? I'd be more inclined to suggest that if they take one fool out of this industry, they are actually doing good even though unintentionally.
