Hi. I have 2 icons on my desktop that won't go into the recycle bin. I want to get rid of them but i don't know how. I am using win98. Any suggestions welcome. :)

L

Could use a bit more info.

What are the Icons for, are they actual files or shortcuts too them etc.

Anything you can give will help.

You can try selecting the Desktop icon, then right click on the mouse.

Whilst holding the Shift Key, select 'Delete' from the drop down memory. This action causes the delete method to skip the recycle bin.

If you are still having problems then re-post.

Hi there. I just tried the above and when the menu comes up, there is no 'delete' there. The icons i want rid of are the 'Network Neighborhood' and one called 'Pagis Inbox' which appeared when i downloaded this programme for my scanner.

If you remove NN then you remove Windows ability to resolve UNCs on a network - TweakUI does warn you!
