A friend is interested in flying a LongRanger to Lord Howe Island in the next few months. I am wondering if there is an Australian certified ferry tank using a bladder which can be simply installed in the rear cabin in the LongRanger which would provide about 90 minutes’ extra fuel for the 310 nautical mile journey.

Wouldn't a similar tank to what you used in DIK do the job? Sure, it was probably hard plumbed, but there must be a way of making a temporary fix.

John Camerons made one for your mate in DIB (or was that the same one?), and also one for our A109 (which never got used in anger) and might still be sitting around his hangar. Again it was hard plumbed and in a really dumb way, but a plastic hose out the window into the range extender should do the job.

What? You mean like a Turtlepac (http://www.turtlepac.com/en/products/collapsible-aircraft-ferry-tanks.html)?

Just up the road in Queensland as well! Who knew? Google of course!
