I've been looking for the Airbus A320/A330 MCDU screen size but having searched more or less everywhere I could imagine on the internet I couldn't find it. Surprisingly, neither Honeywell not Thales publish the specs for their FMS so no luck there either. No mention in books either (just the 14 lines by 24 alphanumeric characters but nothing else in real world dimensions).

I'm not a simmer, just trying to compare screen sizes with newer aircraft MFD screen sizes for an ergonomics/human factors report.

Any help muchly appreciated cause I'm stuck! :bored:

On the 320 roughly 100mm wide by 95mm high.

Oh great, now we're going to have MCDU-measuring contests, too!

Much appreciated Groundloop! That makes for a screen size with a 5.43" diagonal. For comparison, the A380 MFD (MCDU equivalent for FMS) has a 6" x 8" screen which makes for a 10" diagnonal.

Amadis of Gaul don't worry, it's not the size but how you use it to display information that matters.

Does the bloke with the biggest MCDU win a prize?
