Possibility that it wasn't entirely the Nigerian forces that were behind this relatively rare success for "our side" in a world at war? If so, whom?

150 enemy dead, according to local press, with only 4 local soldiers injured. Hmmm.

Let's hope it's the first of many.

One can only hope ... but I have read that body count math is often rife with errors.

as we saw in Vietnam all the dead who aren't in your uniform are "the enemy" - probably a high proportion of innocent villagers included

The Nigerian Army are...... not well disciplined

as we saw in Dresden all the dead who aren't in your uniform are "the enemy" - Fixed that for you Harry.
As to the usual suspects in Nigeria and elsewhere, it appears that they have a winning season going (http://www.pprune.org/as we saw in Vietnam all the dead who aren't in your uniform are "the enemy" - probably a high proportion of innocent villagers included)so far.

Have you seen the ISIS fighter one of late who was filming combat on a GoPro he had attached to himself, and he got shot dead.... the film is on the Daily Snail site,

What made me chuckle was in the comments someone had put, "I look forward to the sequel coming out"

body count math is often rife with errors.

What an excellent expression. And so true.

there is a difference Lone wolf - the RAF counted "houses destroyed " and "people unhoused" - clearly these houses were totally unoccupied on the night of any bombing

The US Army (encouraged by the lunatics in Washington who thought you couild measure everything) elevated "Body Count" to a major metric - the Vietnamese housing industry being less obvious than the German one presumably

and as usual once you use any number as a driver everyone learns to crook the numbers

Some of the more successful actions against BH have been by Chadian troops operating in Nigeria
