It is with great sadness that I inform the aviation community of the passing of Capt Kevin McFadden.
Kevin was with Australian National Airlines (ANA) which was taken over by Ansett in 1957
During the war in the Pacific he operated in Command of the DC3’s conducting General MacArthur’s mail runs out of Brisbane to throughout the pacific islands for the American Army & RAAF.
He was also part of the crew that brought VH RMD Ansett 3rd B727 to Australia in 1965.
Kevin retired as a respected 727 Check Captain in 1982 having flown the 727 for 17 years.
