There a several Cirrus operating at Denham.
The landing distance (MTOW ISA SL) seems to be 800 m for a SR20 (info found on the internet)
The LDA at Denham is 06/24 is 706m/670 m
How can they operate legally?

Possibly by not being at MTOW would be a good place to start?!

My POH...

75Kt @ 50', 2900lb, Flaps 100%, Dry, level and Paved.

S/L 50' distance @ 40oC is 2156, Ground roll 1102.

bearing in mind the temperature at 'LD is rarely at 40oC and the aircraft is very rarely (if ever) at max weight on landing. ISA figures 1014'/2040'

When I went to school 670m = 2200' there seems to be room to spare!:ok: (Granted, not that much!)

I know of SR20's that operate from smaller strips!

Add to which that traditionally, even Cirruses mostly land into wind, further shortening TODR and LDR.

Also, "modern" POH landing distances assume crossing the threshold at 50ft and a 3 degree glide path, and hence tend to touch down 300m into the runway. You won't catch me doing that on a 670m runway.
