View Full Version : Easyjet online assessment?....

amateurflyer
31st Jul 2014, 14:53
Hey all,

I recently applied for easyjet non type rated F/O recruitment. Having filled out my details and attached a CV on the easyjet pilots career page I had an e-mail back informing me I have to complete an "online assessment" in order to progress to the next stage. Anyone know what this entails...eg: psychometric/aptitude, technical questions etc? Cannot find any info apart from cabin crew applicants being required to complete it rather than pilots:/.

Thanks in advance :)

What kind of online assessment it is?? (Theo ATPL, Personal questions,..)
Thanks

Hey all

Turns out it is aptitude testing.

Lots of personality questions where one has to nominate points to individual statements
Spatial orientation - using compass and NDB needle....(Personally think the example question's answer is incorrect)...
Hand eye co-ordination...Do with a mouse rather than use a laptop!
Multi-tasking

Verbal reasoning etc

Took me about an hour and 45 mins.

Quite intense!

Was unsuccessful and told by email about 10 mins after I completed it.

Best of luck to everyone else..

I did those test last year also and failed as well.

And i agree, the example with the ndb was not correct, in my opinion. The hardest nut was the verbal reasoning. Was more gambling for me since time was pretty short.

I guess that you have to reach a benchmark. If not, bye bye.

Pitty because easyjet swiss had normally a selection assessment of its own rather than these silly online tests.

By the sounds its the same as those from last years so just read that thread, the NDB was correct last year, I know quite a few struggled, more than likely as it was a while since using an NDB without a rotating compass card.

Ironic as I use the ndb/gyro every day in my particular job!

Hi all!

What kind of stuff is the verbal reasoning ? Gambling is fun but if you have an example i'd appreciate... :}

thanks guys

Griego
1st Aug 2014, 17:06
you can do the example they give you in the exercise. The text will be different anyway so it is impossible to do any practise in the short term. Native speakers and fast readers are in the advantage.

They obviously only look at your CV after you did and passed the online assessment. In other words if you don't have the minimum requirements you just wasted your time.

Since there are some guys who have said they received an email telling them that they have not succeeded and I received one a few hous after the assesment telling me that I have succesfully completed it... I guess I "passed" that part...

Anyway, I was just wondering if anybody received the same positive feedback and if they have heard anything else...

Although I have no hopes on this, I would like to get as far as possible! :)

We are pleased to inform you that you have successfully completed the online assessment which is the first stage of the recruitment process. Your application and CV will now be screened for evidence of the competences that are critical to success in a pilot role.

You do not need to contact easyJet at this time, as we will contact you by email as soon as we have further information for you. Please do not worry if this does not happen straight away.

Kind regards,

The easyJet Pilot Recruitment Team

Positive for me.
Received the mail today.

Merlot1985
28th Aug 2014, 10:51
Yeah I know that we have to be patient. My question is if everybody who did the assessment online received that famous email "We are pleased to inform you that you have successfully completed the online assessment… etc", or if it is symptomatic of a positive feedback. I have been looking for a while in another threats, most of them cabin crews, who received that mail before an invitation for the next step. It is true that by now they should be checking all applications in order to be sure who are on track, just wonder if that means you passed it or not.

Thank you guys, and good luck to everyone.

Happy landings.

Hi all,

I was successful through the online testing and invited to book an interview slot. However after checking everyday for an available date for two weeks with no success eventually I had a message saying I had run out of time to book a date. After a few e-mails to easyJet I managed to log back in to the system and still there are showing no dates available. I'm wondering if anybody else has come across the same problem?

Cheers!

I'm still waiting to hear... Colleagues with similar hours and experience have had 'no's' but I've not heard either way yet. Am guessing if they are interviewing already then I fall into the "maybe, if the first choices aren't good enough" group.
Anyone else still waiting?
Similar experience last year - waited for an interview, was finally sent the invite but there were no slots available and then the whole thing closed. Fingers crossed to get one this time.

Hi Everyone,

I have been successful in the online assessment and have booked an interview/assessment day slot at easyJet in Nov.

In the email I recieved I decribes the assessment day as:

"The assessment day is designed to be informative and fun. We’ll be running a range of activities throughout the day, including company presentations, group exercises and a personal interview."

I doesn't say there will be a sim assessment, so just wanted to know if anyone has any more information on what is 'actually' part of the day?

28.10 - PFO

Thank you for your application for a pilot position at easyJet.

We have now reviewed your application and unfortunately on this occasion you did not reach the benchmark required and therefore your application has not been successful. This does not mean that you do not have the relevant skills that we are looking for, we were just not able to find enough evidence to support these to the standard required. Much as we’d like to, we can’t provide individual feedback because of the large number of applications we receive.

We would be very happy to receive an application from you in the future if you still feel that easyJet is the right organisation for you. Please do keep a regular eye on our careers page as this will advertise all future available positions – careers.easyjet.com.

Thank you for your interest in easyJet. We wish you all the best in the future and look forward to hearing from you again.

Kind Regards

Still waiting to hear my fate, I passed the online tests nearly a month ago now.

It is easyJet Switzerland we are debating here, isn't it? Same for me, I've an email saying I am thru the mind-games' stage and CV is under scrutiny.

Friends (EZY-UK's insiders) told me that there real selection is on just now, CV can be binned at any time and that this hold-off might last several weeks.

Location aside, has anyone gathered fresh/recent info re. the SUI contract/QOL/etc?

Best luck everyone.

Hello,
Anybody who did the online assesment recently and can provide some advice (in particular for Amy Johnson Initiative)?
What are the test? Is there any recommanded web site to prepare?

It's cut-E tests. Very simple stuff. Make sure you have a mouse available for the "tube" test.

I'm going to do the online test in few hours! Once finished I'll be back to you.
@banana I visited cut-e website and, looking at the feedbacks from other people, it doesn't match. I heard math is basic equation, not problem solving!

cut-E have various tests for various fields. Only for Norwegian the maths was some higher level. Very easy for easyJet and Aer Lingus.

Very few seem here to know about the website

pilotest.com/fr/lonely_tests

which is 100% recommended to prepare for the CUT-E tests. it is a french website so very few seem to know about it but we all use it in France since it is free...

I would be very interested to hear your feedback about the tests and your results. I was very good on pilotest but I am not that confident...
